 Response: If I could change one rule at school it would be to allow us to use our phones. This rule should change because phones can be a vital tool in the classroom. Lots of student learn differently, and phones have access to resources that many student may need to understand lessons effectively. Phones also allow for greater communication. For example, it's important that students are able to contact their friends and family when needed.

Summary: Today we watched various ads and identified the different strategies used to make the argument in the video effective.

Reflection: I thought that this lesson was fun. It gave me a new perspective on how ads are made and why they have an impact.

Response: I would really like to go to Europe with my friends. I'm not sure if I would like backpacking but I definitely want to go for around a month and visit all the countries. Another option that I would love would be to study abroad in Europe for a semester. I just think that it's so beautiful there and it would be really cool to be immersed in another culture for a while. Describe one thing that makes you different from other people.

 Prompt Response: One thing that makes me different from other people is that I really like math. I've never been good at any other subject in particular except for math. Most people find it boring or confusing, however I really enjoy it. I think I like it so much because there is always a definite answer. Meaning that your answer can only ever be wrong or right. Whereas in literature, answers to questions are often left up to interpretation which I find difficult. Summary: Today we began learning about Emily Dickinson and her poems. We also discussed how to read and analyze a poem, as well as how poetry differs from other writing styles. Reflection: I thought that this lesson was interesting, however I don't really like poetry.

Write about a fear you have overcome

  Response: A fear I have overcome is my fear of talking to people I don't know. When I was younger I was really shy and didn't like meeting new people. After I started going to therapy I began working on being able to tolerate and even initiate situations that may be uncomfortable. It's been a few years since I set this goal for myself and I am now much more outgoing. I still would not consider myself an extrovert, but I don't feel uncomfortable introducing myself to someone new or talking to a worker at a store.
